What's New Around Here for 2015

I'll be very honest, this post began as a goal-related post. But after choosing my word for the year, goals seemed less exciting somehow. Instead, I've decided to simply tell you my plans for this space in the coming year. Of course these plans may shift and change as the days turn into months, but as you all know: that's the way this whole being in business thing works.

So, here's what you can expect to see in 2015:

More Podcast Episodes (+ A Funding Model)
It's true! Starting this week, Creating Your Own Path is officially turning into a weekly podcast! Making this show has been a labor of love and I'm thrilled to be able to ramp up the production schedule this year. This season, you'll be getting an inspiring, informative interview each week (aside from a few holiday breaks, of course), along with a few new twists along the way. I'll also be starting the process of creating a funding model for the podcast. As you know, nothing in this wold is truly free and this show takes a ton of time (and yes, some money) to produce. So I'm working on ways, such as small sponsorships and a Patreon account, to help keep it up and running for the foreseeable future. I'll be going into more details in the months to come, so stay tuned!

Meaningful Collaborations
I've got some fun stuff in the hopper, my friends. I had an absolute blast last year working with print and online publications and will continue many of those collaborations this year. Though some editorial projects will be taking a different shape and may change a bit, I love writing for these outlets. I've also got a few other projects that I can't share just yet, but you all will be the first to know when the time is right.

A Continued Book Journey
I know I've been a bit quiet about the book lately. That's because I'm sort of in the messy it's-going-to-look-worse-before-it-looks-better stage. My 90-day experiment has come and gone and, though I didn't quite accomplish as much as I'd hoped, it was still a great tool to push myself to keep moving forward. I'll be sharing some useful tips I've learned along the way and a bit more of my journey this year—I promise.

New E-Courses
I have lofty goals for this portion of my business and, I'll be honest, I'm not sure if I'll reach them this year. However, I'm definitely going to try. Over the holiday break I started really putting my ideas to paper and sketching out how I might be able to bring several new e-courses to life. For example, I have ideas for helping small business share their stories in more authentic ways. I would also love to distill everything I've learned about launching a podcast and share it with those interested in getting into the podcast game this year. And I've got a super fun journaling course brewing that will help just about anyone unleash their inner writer. So there you have it. The e-course cats are out of the bag.

So, what will remain the same around here? Think-y pieces like this one, travel photo essays like these two and a few lifestyle and DIY posts thrown in for good measure.

Happy 2015, my friends. Let's do this thing.
