Hi, I’m Jen.
I’ve spent the last 18 years collaborating with in-person and remote teams to craft and share stories that matter. I believe the narratives we build should create connection, inspire action, and encourage understanding. As a seasoned communications leader and brand strategist across various industries, I’ve also had the opportunity to step into my passions for building strategic business programs and systems, guiding both leaders and staff through difficult situations, and facilitating change management initiatives across organizations.
I'm a seasoned podcaster, media professional, and author interested in unearthing and sharing the narratives of others as a vehicle for empathy, understanding, and personal growth. In 2019, I had an opportunity to share part of my own story at Creative Mornings Sacramento. Once upon a time, I had a monthly column in Comstock's magazine. I've also had the honor of contributing to daily, weekly, and monthly publications such as Sactown Magazine, The Sacramento Bee, Design Sponge, Clementine Daily, and Submerge Magazine. At one point, I even worked as a ghostwriter on a book! From 2014 through 2019, I hosted my podcast Creating Your Own Path (CYOP) and have been lucky enough to speak with over 100 creative business owners about their work. It became a platform for collaborations such as the CYOP Artist Residency. I also self-published my first book, 100 Days of Discussion, in 2017, produced a newsletter, built e-courses, and ran an online shop.
In my spare time, I focus on my family and friends, traveling, exploring, and simply enjoying life. I currently live in the Sacramento region of Northern California with my rescue pup Grace.
