Build a Bridge: The Creamery
I'm just getting back from a nice visit with family in Crescent City, California. It rained and rained...then the sun came out. It was glorious. I'll have pictures to share soon, but here are a few snippets from my last drive up there to tide you over. Meanwhile, I've got another bridge to share from our trip back East. If you're looking for the quintessential Vermont covered bridge experience, this is the structure for you.
We checked out two covered bridges while in Vermont and Massachusetts, but we'll start with the Creamery Bridge in Brattleboro, Vermont.
Super charming, right? I couldn't get enough.
Currently, the Creamery Bridge is in a park-like setting. Apparently it used to take vehicle traffic, but recently completed city planning projects diverted the traffic to a new (less attractive, but more functional) bridge and now the beautiful covered structure is just for pedestrians and bicyclists to enjoy.
You can find the bridge on Route 9 just west of Interstate 91.
